Might as Well Lounge and Boozenasium
Might as Well Lounge and Boozenasium, a new bar from the minds behind some of Houston’s favorite watering holes, is ready to open in Spring Branch.
The minds behind the city’s first “Boozenasium” include Camella Clements (Lil’ Danny Speedo’s Go Fly A Kite Lounge), Brad Moore (Lil’ Danny Speedo’s, Big Star Bar, Grand Prize, Okras Charity Saloon, Lei Low Rum Bar, and others), Erik Bogle and Jill Brumer (Houston Watch Co.), and Joel and Heather Swift (Eureka Heights Brewing Company).
Because of the ties to Eureka Heights, at least two beers from the brewery will remain on draft at all times along with other Houston-area brews. There will be about 20 beers in bottles or cans to round out the “elevated” beer program, plus a margarita machine, and classic cocktails. Part-owner Camella Clements tells Eater that the group wanted to resurrect the neighborhood spot’s “comfortable and cozy” vibe. “Spring Branch is a rapidly growing area, and we wanted to carry on Robbie’s tradition here — updating it without changing it too much,” she says.
While the joint won’t be serving food, they brought out crockpots for the soft opening over the weekend and may keep that going, along with hot dogs.
