About My Spring Branch

MySpringBranch is a community-based media company committed to helping showcase the best of Spring Branch.

Our Mission

Our mission is to be a brand that every Spring Branch’er knows, loves and trusts for high-quality information, timely news, fun and exciting events and much more.

Our Vision

Our vision is that Spring Branch will transform into one of the most exciting areas of Houston and become a highly sought-after suburb that feels like a city within a city.

Our Story

Launched in 2014, My Spring Branch began by chronicling Spring Branch’s growth and development and served as a way to highlight and share all of the great things going on in the Spring Branch area.

As Spring Branch transitioned from a hidden-gem to a primary destination, My Spring Branch quickly rose in popularity while fostering an online community and audience that wanted more from Spring Branch.

Today, it is the Spring Branch media brand that people trust to help them discover exciting new businesses, find or sell a home, make a home better, and learn about the past, present and future of Spring Branch.

Our website includes news and features, a community forum (coming soon!), real estate listings and services directory. We are on Facebook and Instagram, and we have a popular monthly newsletter.

Real Estate

We’re also here to make shopping for your next home easier, and a little more fun, too. We do this by focusing on a few things:

Fast listing updates – We know the early bird catches the house, so we make it a priority to update our property information literally as fast as we can.

Finding great local agents -If you want to tour a home, we’ll connect you with a great local agent. We’re kind of like a matchmaking service for agents and buyers, but not in a scary Tinder sort of way. We only pick agents who we’d recommend to our friends—the honest, not-pushy sorts, and we only keep the agents who get great reviews from our clients.

Building a great home search experience – Searching for and choosing your next place to call home can be overwhelming. We try to give you what matters and leave out the rest. Did we miss something? Send us feedback. We read it all.

New Business

If you are opening a business in Spring Branch, we’d like to know and give you a shout out in our newsletter roundup and on social media. Please email details including contact info to [email protected] with a subject line: New Business Roundup.

If you’d like a sponsored post, please email Adam Yera at [email protected].

Got love for your neighborhood and a desire to express it? Looking to build up a portfolio of writing? We’d love to provide a regular forum for your work, and are open to your pitches — however, if you’d just like to get involved (and make some money), we can help with ideas for pieces.

To apply, send an email pitching what you’d like to do and why you’d like to do it, and please include some writing samples, to [email protected]. We pay for the work we publish.

Letters to the Editor/Opinion Pieces

We welcome letters to the editor on any subject. We will consider them for publishing as long as there is a clear Spring Branch connection, and the topic is timely, and they are not overly lengthy. Please send your submission to [email protected].
